Is human rebellion stronger than the revelation of God?

What impact did monasticism have on the early church and what exactly is monasticism?

Why do many believe that Moses is the author of Deuteronomy? Seems odd since chapter 34 is about Moses' death.

How did/do monks remain from being prideful or falling into the trap of "salvation by works?"

How should we approach the creation story as it relates to the story-telling culture at the time? Should we see it as absolute fact that each thing happened exactly as it was written? How much of our theology should we build on the cultural story telling style of the time?

Does God reveal himself to ALL humankind at some point in a person's lifetime?

The God who Creates

If our evangelical theology presupposes God as creator (p. 140), does that place "Creator" as the most important of God's attributes? Is that it says in Ecclesiastes 12:1 "Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come [...]"?

What is necessary for a saving faith as far as understanding the attributes of God?
For example, you might not know of God as creator but you look to Jesus for salvation. Or perhaps you think the OT God is different than the NT God. So at the same time you are looking to Him in faith for grace, yet denying aspects of His character.

Since the monks around the time of the year 530 established monasticism because of the worldly success, power, and wealth that serving in the church as a leader provided and they were skeptical of these temptations, what was their relationship with the main church at this time? Did the church leadership respect monasticism originally or were they at odds with each other?

How could monks blatantly deny the Great Commission?
